Reflections

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of MassMutual for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Each year in US, we are presented with the chance to reflect on Black history and acknowledge milestones we've made. Progress made by noteworthy individuals and together as people with similar hopes and dreams. In celebration of Black History month, I teamed up with Mass Mutual (whose mission is to secure and Building a Financial Legacy for us and future generations) to share a little on my family history and what this month means to me.

Black history month highlights our evolution through history, American history as well as our personal journey. Being originally of Nigerian descent, it is also a time to celebrate my culture and a time to celebrate my family and loved ones. It is a perfect time to remember the ones that have paved a path or made major contributions to my life’s journey. Some of those people are even here in present day such as my sisters, who constantly remind to live, laugh and appreciate life more.

What does this month mean to you? Tell MassMutual , Join the conversation with MassMutual on Facebook and  MassMutual on Twitter with #journeyofyou. I would love to read your comments.
